Sub 25 min 5k


Getting back my old fitness after covid.

I did my local park run, and I got my second best 5k time according to Strava. In particular, my first 1k was especially fast at 4 mins 23 secs. If only I could keep that up for a full 5k.

I’m quite pleased with this, I’ve done so much triathlon in the past but actually compared to other triathletes in the two clubs I’ve been in (Tri London and Hong Kong Dragons) my base fitness is lacking. Seeing other people’s sub 20 min 5k times has changed my perspective, and really motivated me to drag my own split times downwards.

Next up, to get my 100 meter swim pace down below 2 mins.
